To run the code
(1) change to the directory

or

(2) $> vi globe_setup.pro
      modify the localtion:
           lat_start = 16  &   lat_end = 20  &  lon_start = -170  & lon_end = -155

(3) $> vi get_filename.pro
    -  modify the period
          datelist=['200801', '200802', '200803', '200804', '200805', '200806',    $
                '200807', '200808', '200809', '200810', '200811', '200812']
    - modify the input and output files

Qiuqing,

I want you to sit down with Sally, Adam and I and go over the cloud occurrence fraction codes that you have been working with.  I want to make sure that several of us know how to generate these statistics.  Can you point us to the locations of the cdd and give us a short tutorial over email how to run the code.  We can look this over and then sit down with you after we gain some experience.  The most important aspects of this code is generating the histograms of occurrence frequency during specified time periods and specified locations.    At the moment we are in need of such statistics in a box near Hawaii.  Adam, can you send Qiuqing the lat/lon of the box?  We need to compare the years 2007 and 2008.
